KHOLUI, lacquer papier-mache miniatures. Kholui is among the most ancient villages in the Vladimir-Suzdal area. Legend has it that arts and crafts were practiced in these parts from as early as the time of the Tatar-Mongol invasion. One of the greatest European centers for such items was Johann Stobwasser's manufactory in Braunschweig. Tsaregorodtsev Alexander Valeryevich Born in 1955 in Yoshkar-Oil. In 1980 graduated from the Abramtsevo Industrial Art School (the faculty of artistic ceramics). Since 1980 works as a painter at "Gzhel" Association. In co-authorship with M.V. Podgornaya. Mainly works on creation of new forms. Awarded with various medals and diplomas.
